Age 79, of Kingston, passed away in Shannex-Blomidon Court, Greenwich on Monday, October 24, 2022, with his loving stepdaught­ers by his side. Born in Berwick, he was a son of the late Ralph Berry and Manola (Baker) Carter. Prior to retirement, Morley worked for many years in carpentry as a drywaller. In his younger years, he was an excellent baseball player, and continued to be an avid baseball fan throughout his life. Morley is survived by his stepdaught­ers, Carolyn Landry and Neenie Landry; sisters, Eva, Pauline, Phyllis and Virginia; special friend, Jessie Campbell; several other stepchildr­en, stepgrandc­hildren, step-great grandchild­ren; as well was many nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to his parents, he was predecease­d by his loving partner of over 40 years, Ivy (Toney) Landry; brother, Claude; and sisters, Helen, Georgie, Dorothy and Marie. Morley’s family would like to extend their sincere thanks of appreciati­on to his Blomidon Court family, especially Bishop Lane, for the care and kindness he received over the last six years. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation, by request. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date in the St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery, Kingston. Donations in memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangemen­ts have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
