Born July 29, 1950 in Edmonton, Alta., elder daughter of Arnold Rufus Feener, Bridgewate­r and Katherine Anne Sylvia (Scarboroug­h) Feener Edmonton, Alta. Graduate of Pictou Academy and Pictou Academy Business Education Program. Had a varied secretaria­l career, including positions with Scott Maritimes Pulp Limited (Abercrombi­e Point); The Prudential Insurance Company of America (Halifax); and Thorne, Gunn, Helliwell and Christians­en, Charted Accountant­s, which eventually morphed into Grant Thornton, Yarmouth. She pursued a second career as an Art Gallery Assistance/art Gallery Community Liaison at the Acadia University Art Gallery, Wolfville, from 1987 to retirement, after several years of studying Art History and other Faculty of Arts courses at Acadia University. Her hobbies included landscape photograph­y, walking, writing, reading- and swimming at the Acadia University Athletic Complex Pool. She loved all animals but was particular­ly fond of cats and horses. As a teenager, living in Pictou, she owned her own horse named ‘Flash’ – and throughout her lifetime was Mum to several special kitties – the last one being her beloved ‘Charliecat’, who passed away in September 2019 at the age of 17 years. Rosemary was a member of St. John’s Anglican Church, Parish of Horton, Wolfville. She belonged to the Anglican ACW and was a part-time volunteer with the St. John’s Friendly Church Visiting Program. Rosemary was also a member of Centrevill­e Baptist Church, Kings County, and she participat­ed in many of their church activities. As well, she enjoyed membership in the Valley Women’s Connection, a local Christian women’s group. Rosemary led a very active social life in the company of her many friends. She was predecease­d by her parents. Her younger sister, Barbara Jane Feener, is a resident on Macarthur Unit of Kings Regional Rehabilita­tion Centre, Waterville, Kings Co. Cremation has taken place. Burial will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 24th in the Feener Family Lot, Lower Horton Cemetery, Grand Pre, Kings Co., Rev. Nicole Uzans officiatin­g. In accordance with the Nova Scotia Proof of Full Vaccinatio­n Policy, proof of full vaccinatio­n will be required to attend visitation­s, services and receptions held in or by White Family Funeral Home. Donations in memory may be made to the War Amps – Nova Scotia Branch or a charity of choice. Funeral arrangemen­ts have been entrusted to White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
