Estrie Aide will hold the 12th edition of its bicycle fair next May 4, between 8 a.m. and noon at 356 rue Wellington Sud, in Sherbrooke.
A not-to-be-missed event at Estrie Aide, the bike fair’s mission is to offer a wide selection of bikes for every member of the family in all shapes and sizes. Each bike has been carefully inspected by Estrie Aide teams to ensure they are in excellent working order.
This 12th edition of the bike fair also marks the first year of an agreement between Estrie Aide and SAE Estrie, enabling students to receive training in bike mechanics at the very heart of Estrie Aide. As a result, over 400 refurbished bikes will be on sale on May 4.
Prepared over several months by twowheeled enthusiasts, the event will also offer personalized advice service to help visitors find the bike perfectly suited to their needs and lifestyle. Payment methods will include cash, debit and credit cards.
A mechanical adjustment station (brakes, gears) will also be provided by SAE Estrie. Seats and tires will be adjusted by volunteers from our partners La Déraille and Les patrouilleurs. A test area along the donation center will also be available to visitors. A selection of accessories (helmets, water bottles, bags, etc.) will also be available for sale in the store’s sports section.
To ensure a festive atmosphere, Estrie Aide’s partners from CAP - (Centre de traitement pour dépendances) will offer hot drinks and a food truck to visitors.
According to Michel Lesage, General Manager of Estrie Aide, the bike fair is much more than just an event. “It’s a celebration of community, the environment and eco-responsible living. We’re proud to promote the use of refurbished bicycles and thus contribute to reducing our carbon footprint. Over the past 12 years, more than 5,000 bicycles have been put back into circulation,” Lesage commented in a press release about the upcoming bike fair.
