It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother and grandmother, Alice Irene Fraser (Krischke). Alice passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on Saturday, November 16, 2019 in Regina, SK at the age of 88. She was predeceased by her husband Ian and daughter Janet and was the last living member of her siblings. Alice will be fondly remembered by her son Bill (Rose) of Regina; daughter Brenda (Glen) of Benito, MB and son John (Carla) of Regina, as well as numerous grand and great-grandchildren. Alice was born on September 26, 1931 in Sonningdale, SK. After completing her Grade 12, she moved to Saskatoon at the age of 18 and attended Kelsey Business College to obtain a Certificate in Bookkeeping and Business Accounting. Soon afterwards, she began working for a Chartered Accountant. While on a trip to Regina, to visit a friend, she met the love of her life, Ian Fraser, at the Trianon Ballroom. Their courtship was brief and they were married on June 19, 1953. They purchased their first home at 2732 Park Street, and it was there that they began their life together raising their four children. Alice loved to read, play cards, travel, do crossword puzzles, and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was also very creative and loved to do crafts, knit and crochet. She was often the treasurer for the clubs and associations she belonged to, such as the Fraser Pipe Band, Sons of Scotland, and Broadway United Church. Alice loved being involved in activities and surrounding herself with others. As per her request, there will be no funeral service, a private Graveside Service for immediate family will be held. A special thank you to the many nurses and care givers associated with the Palliative Care unit at the Pasqua Hospital. Flowers are most gratefully declined, friends so wishing may make a donation to Palliative Home Care Services, 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK S4T la5 or a charity of your choice.
