Adele’s new $9.5M digs in Beverly Hills

A person can tolerate only so much British weather: TMZ. com reports that Adele paid $9.5 million US for a home in Beverly Hills, in a deal that was quietly completed a month ago but secret until now.

The asking price had been $9.9 million. The place has 6,600 square feet, including four bedrooms, six bathrooms, a pool, a tree house — and some kind of outdoor train set, which I’m guessing will be a big hit with young Angelo.

She’s on tour right now; we don’t know when she’ll move in to the Los Angeles home.

Adele is 28. Angelo is three.

Spotlight couple: Justin Bieber’s latest is starlet Nicola Peltz. He’s currently taking a break from his tour, and Entertainment Tonight spotted these two the other night at Mastro’s, a Beverly Hills steak house. She was looking glamorous; he wore sneakers and torn jeans. He’s 22. She’s 21.

Oh, shut up: Cindy Crawford claims that the tequila her husband sells is a tonic for your, uhhh, intimate relationship.

You’ll recall that Mr. Crawford, aka Rande Gerber, is pals with George Clooney; they have a tequila brand, Casamigos.

The other day at some charity event, the New York Post reports, somebody asked her if the stuff is good against heart disease.

“I don’t know,” she answered, “but it’s definitely good for your sex life.” She’s 50.

Well, we won’t have Sam Mendes to kick around any more. The director has confirmed he’s made his last James Bond movie.

“It was an incredible adventure, I loved every second of it, but I think it’s time for somebody else,” Britain’s Radio Times has him saying. Mendes, who did the two most recent 007 epics (Skyfall and Spectre) was speaking at the Hay Festival. So why is he out? “I’m a storyteller. And at the end of the day, I want to make stories with new characters.”

Mendes also directs TV work and stage plays. He’s 50.
