• Southern Alberta Council on Public Affairs every Thursday from noon - 1 p.m. at the LSCO (Lethbridge Senior Citizen Organizati­on) at 500 11 St. S. This week’s presenter is Jon Doan, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Lethbridge, speaking on the recently announced rural medical education program training centre at the U of L. • IG Wealth Walk for Alzheimer’s is set for May 25 at Nicholas Sheran Lake to raise funds and awareness among people affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. • The Lethbridge and District Horticultu­ral Society will be having our annual plant sale at the west lower level entrance to the Public Library from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Saturday May 25. The sale is a fundraiser in support of our gardens in the city. Open to public.

• Nord-Bridge Seniors Centre 2nd annual Fathers Day Show and Shine BBQ Fundraiser is set for Sunday, June 16! Bring your dad and take in the classic cars, while enjoying a hot dog or hamburger for $5 per person. Want to enter in your classic car? • The Mountain Bluebird Trails Conservati­on Society invites you to its annual Trail Orientatio­n Day June 1 to see an active bluebird nest box trail in operation here in Lethbridge. It’s a free event! We will gather at the Helen Schuler Nature Centre at 9 a.m., convoy over to a private westside property and wrap up by noon.
