THIS WEEK AT KINKORA REGIONAL HIGH DATES TO REMEMBER
June 8 to 21 – Final exams. June 14 – Grad barbecue will take place from 3 to 8 p.m. at Maggie Linkletter’s cottage in Lower Bedeque. June 22 – Grad breakfast will take place at 8 a.m. at the home of Payton Reeves in Mount Tryon. – Grad rehearsal is at 9:30 a.m. Attendance is mandatory. Report cards and transcripts will be passed out at this time. – The 56th annual commencement exercises of Kinkora Regional High School will take place at 7 p.m. All are welcome to attend. – Safe Grad Night to follow. Grads are going to the Bell Aliant Centre, having pizza, activities, and the full use of the facilities for the evening. The Safe Grad bus leaves KRHS at 11:30 p.m. June 27 – Grade 9, 10 and 11 report cards can be picked up at the school between 9 and 10:30 a.m. June 29 – School closes for the summer.

2018 KRHS GRADUATION
The 56th annual commencement exercises of Kinkora Regional High School will take place on Friday, June 22, at 7 p.m. All are welcome to attend. Student Council president, Callie Thomson, will deliver the salutation while graduate Liam Arsenault will deliver the valedictory.

Individuals, businesses, or community groups wishing to donate to the Kinkora Regional High School Prize Fund may do so prior to June 11 in order to be acknowledged in the program. Thank you for your continued support.

Any grad receiving a scholarship/bursary/award from a university/college or outside group must forward school counsellor Mrs. McCarthy the email/copy of official school letter so this award may be recognized at graduation. We do not always receive notification at the school so we are depending on graduates to share this information with us.

AGRICULTURE & BIOSCIENCE PROGRAM
Special thank you to program co-ordinator Jessica Reeves for all her efforts this year. From May 10 to 11, the ADP students at KRHS set off on the Western P.E.I. Agriculture Tour. Our tour stops included visiting Green Gables Alpacas, Port Hill Farm Inc., Dock Road Dairy Farm, W.P. Griffin, Cyrus Junior Bernard’s draft horse farm, MacAusland’s Woolen Mills, Elite Seed Farm, and the O’Leary Potato Museum. Special thank you to Ian Nantes, our bus driver, and to all our tour hosts. On May 25, Matthew Hughes, with the P.E.I. Federation of Agriculture hosted Tractor Safety Training Day at Kensington Agriculture Services for KRHS and KISH Grade 10 students. We would like to thank the presenters Lance Campbell, Highway Safety: Tara Huestis, Workers Compensation Board; Alvin Smith, JVI Driver Training; and David Younker for presenting the Tractor Walk and Talk. On June 1, the Ag Pros hosted our closing supper at Lotus Gardens. Thank you to Victoria van der Velden for making “A Year in Review” slideshow featuring all the activities and events participated in over the year.
KRHS LIBRARY NEWS
Return any overdue library books as soon as possible as we need to complete our end-ofthe-year inventory. Thank you to teacher-librarian Shelley Tremere for all her efforts this year.
