MANZER (KNOTT) , Traci Lynne

-

It is with profound sadness we regret to announce that Traci Lynne Manzer (nee Knott) of Bedford, age 53, passed away unexpectedly on June 22, 2024, at her summer residence in Prince Edward Island. Traci was born and raised in North Sydney, the beloved eldest daughter of Rex and Georgina Knott, the loving wife of Ashley, and the dearly loved sister of Je‰ery, Michelle (Phil) and Lisa (Trevor). She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Max and Lavinia Knott; and maternal grandparents, James and Jessie Tremblett. Upon graduation from Memorial High School in 1989, Traci graduated from Université SainteAnne with an integrated BA (Major in French, Minor in English) and BEd (Secondary Methods with Distinction) in 1994. A true academic and lifelong learner, Traci went on to complete both a Master of Education Degree in Curriculum Studies (Supporting Learners with Diverse Needs and Exceptionalities) from MSVU, as well as a Diploma in Education Curriculum from CBU. She enjoyed a successful teaching career within both CBVRCE and HRCE having taught English and French/French Immersion programs which included elementary, junior high, and high school grades. Her most recent position was that of Elementary Literacy Coach. Traci was an advocate for underprivileged children, families and animals. Traci’s advocacy transformed from words into action, which included volunteering and offering œnancial aid to many organizations. Traci was truly a gentle and kind soul who loved, cared, and was so greatly loved in return. Over the years Traci rescued and adopted numerous dogs and kittens/cats, whom she adored. Her most recent sweet rescue cat Russie misses her so much. Traci enjoyed travel, which, along with the Maritimes, included Alberta, Hawaii, Switzerland, Utah, Minnesota, and South Dakota. Her favorite spots included the time share in Sedona, Arizona she and Ash so loved, as well as her beloved residence in PEI that she had just opened and was looking forward to spending time in during the upcoming summer months. Traci, to say you were loved is an understatement. To say you were the epitome of gentleness and genuine kindness is an understatement. While our family is forever changed, we know how so incredibly blessed and fortunate we were to call you daughter, wife, sister, teacher, and friend. For our short time together, we are so very grateful. A private ceremony will be held at a later date (immediate family only). Well wishes only. If you do wish to donate to an organization in Traci’s memory, a contribution to your local SPCA or food bank would be appreciated.
