EMBREE, Emma Marie

-

It is with deep sorrow that we, the family of Emma Marie Embree, announce her peaceful passing at home, comforted by her family, following a brief battle with cancer.

Emma was born in New Waterford on August 08, 1945 and was the daughter of Gino and Sadie (Fraser) Angione.

Emma was known best in her community for being a true and loyal friend who would share whatever she had with a friend in need. Her generous spirit and unconditional love for all those around her will be her legacy and her memory will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her.

Emma is pre-deceased by her first husband, Greg MacNeil; her sisters, Cathy Head and Antoinette Tighe and her brothers, Gino Angione and Alphonse Angione.

Emma will be forever loved and remembered by her husband, Roger Wayne Embree; her children, Greg MacNeil, Tammy (Ken) MacPherson and Raymond Embree; her five grandchildren, Ashley Marie McNeil, Gregory Moseychuck, Nathan Moseychuck, Devon Moseychuck and Elaina Rae Embree; brothers, Joey (Susie) Angione and Tony (Joanne) Angione; sister, Theresa Gillis and extended family and friends.

The family would like to thank the Victorian Order of Nurses (VON) and the Palliative Care Service of the Cape Breton District Health Authority for the care and compassion they demonstrated in Emma’s time of need.

In respect for Emma’s wishes, there will be no wake or memorial services. Memorial gifts may be made to Hospice Palliative Care Society of Cape Breton or Diabetes Canada (formerly the Canadian Diabetes Association).
