There are some changes afoot as the sketch-comedy show returns for its 42nd season. Maya & Marty performer Mikey Day will join the cast along with Chicago improviser Alex Moffat and standup comedian Melissa Villaseñor. They will be replacing Taran Killam, Jay Pharoah and Jon Rudnitsky, who left the cast. Aussie actress Margot Robbie (who earned accolades for her performances in The Wolf of Wall Street and as Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad) will be hosting for the first time. Musical guest The Weeknd, whose new album Starboy is due to be released in November, is making a return performance. (NBC, Global)

W5

Award-winning journalist Kevin Newman takes the reins of Canada’s pre-eminent investigative series as the program begins its 51st season. Although this milestone is likely to be followed with some changes here and there, at heart W5’s central mission — providing the who, what, where, when and why of current events — remains the same. Lloyd Robertson, Newman’s predecessor, will continue to make appearances in his new role as CTV News special correspondent. (CTV)

GUY’S GROCERY GAMES

In the new Guy’s Superstar Grocery Games: Finale, the final four superstars compete in three unprecedented rounds decided by the never-before-seen Wheel of Games. The format is very familiar: a chef is eliminated after each round until only one player remains, and he or she is crowned the first Superstar Champion, winning $40,000 for a charity of choice.
