RDC’S BESPOKE RADISSON RED IN BUSINESS
T he Botswana Stock Exchangelisted RDC Properties has opened its 222-bedroomed Radisson RED Johannesburg Rosebank hotel this week.
Situated in the upwardly mobile part of the Rosebank precinct Oxford Parks, the hotel is the first Radisson RED Hotel in the Gauteng Province and the second in the country after the Radisson RED Cape Town.
Speaking at a ceremony held at the landmark hotel this week, RDC Properties CEO, Jacopo Pari said the development was a monumental achievement. He said it is so as it had been constructed during the uncertainty and instability brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

We, therefore, found it fitting to be part of this development as it allowed us to achieve all those priorities in this one project,” Pari said.
He added the brand brought diversity to the company’s hospitality portfolio, which includes the Protea Marriott at Masa Centre in Gaborone, Aha Chobe Marina Lodge in Kasane and Isalo Rock Lodge in Madagascar.
For her part, curator of the hotel Carly de Jong spoke to the uniqueness of the RED brand, the distinct art pieces adorning the hotel, and the vibrant ambience of the Radisson RED. “Featuring 222 standard rooms and suites, Radisson RED Johannesburg Rosebank is a bold and trendy addition to Rosebank, inspired by local art, music, fashion and people.
The hotel brings to life Radisson RED’s bold brand ethos with its eclectic art and the colourful accents of its interior design, including custom African-print wallpaper for each floor, street-style art displays, which will rotate every six months, and high-tech additions like an interactive digi-wall and Chromecast televisions in each room.”
