MID-TABLE HUSTLE AND BUSTLE

- BY SUN REPORTER

Midway through the season and The Botswana Football League (BFL) mid table battles are starting to illuminate and fans across the country are excited with the competition brought about by the teams.

Perhaps the most bizarre thing about it, is how strangely stressful and confusing it has been for all the teams in the battle.

So far, five teams are locked at 15 points in the league from position 8 to position 12, all have accumulated 15 points and this is a huge sign that the battle in mid-table will be exciting for the fans.

Sua Flamingoes are sitting on position 8 of the table with a superior goal difference over other teams below them, the Sowa Town outfits have been very productive so far and they will be looking not only to finish in mid table but to sneak into the top 8 bracket.

The team has made additions to their side and the most notable addition is the exciting Kevin Bulala who has been giving them the much needed creativity and contributing goals as well. The team has the potential to come out tops in this battle.

Minnows Eleven Angels have been punching above their weight so far, the Francistown based side has lived beyond expectation as they continue to fight tooth and nail to remain in

the topflight division.

Angels are in position 9 and have shown their intentions so far, not only do they intend to remain in the league they also want to finish in a high position in the table.

Besides that, the team has lost one key player, Monty Enosa who joined Masitaoka just last week; the star teenage was the driving force behind their attack and it remains to be seen if his absence will affect the team or they have other options.

Selebi Phikwe also have a stubborn representative in the league; Nico United has been grinding for results especially when playing at home, as the team has used its home ground advantage well, they are in position 10 and will continue to join

in the race towards finishing in top 8.

Nico takes on 11th place Morupule Wanderers at home this weekend. Wanderers are also a hard nut to crack and this game is one to look forward to at the Sam Sono Stadium in Phikwe as Wanderers are looking to cause an upset away from home and this will put them in a better position and above their opponent.

Police XI have been excellent one week and awful the next. Sometimes, Police have been excellent in one half and awful in the next. They look like a team going into every single game both simultaneously fancying to win it yet not remotely surprised if they lose it. They face their bitter rivals BDF XI this Sunday.
