Opposition running ‘violent’ narrative against Modi: BJP

Poonawalla alleged that the INDIA bloc, particularly Congress and its allies, are propagating a narrative filled with violence, similar to that in the US, against Modi and BJP workers and supporters

-

Referring to the reasons emerging for the atack on former US President Donald Trump, BJP has alleged that INDIA bloc and Congress are running a violent narrative against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP workers in India similarly.

Bjpnationalspokespersonshehzadpoonawalla, on Monday, said with regard to the atack on the former US President, who narrowly escaped and is safe: “The question arises about the circumstances in a democracy like the US that led to this political violence and how such a hateful and violent atmosphere was created.”

He said that an atempt is being made to repeat the same in India.

Slamming the opposition in a post on X, Poonawalla further alleged that the INDIA bloc, particularly Congress and its allies, are propagating a narrative filled with violence, similar to that in the US, against PM Modi and BJP workers and supporters.

He claimed that the opposition has spread an illusion that if the BJP government remains in power, the Constitution will be abolished, democracy will end, and there will be no elections.

Referring to several past incidents, the party spokesperson further said that Congress used derogatory words for PM Modi, and Randeep Surjewala used derogatory language for BJP supporters, adding that whenever there was an atack on PM Modi, whether during his tenure as the Chief Minister of Gujarat or as the country’s Prime Minister, Congress “celebrated” it.

“This clearly shows that whether it is the US or India, from Donald Trump to PM Modi, Islamic leftist forces create an atmosphere of hatred and animosity against non-letist, popular, and nationalist leaders so that they can be atacked,” Poonawalla added.

“Congress and its entire ecosystem should be asked whether they will now end this kind of misleading propaganda,” he asserted.

Pawan Khera, Chairman of Media & Publicity Department of Congress, on Monday, criticised BJP for “instigating” people against his party and said that “cheap politics” should not be played over security of leaders.

“Cheap politics should not be played on the issue of security of leaders,” the Congress national spokesperson said in a post on X. Highlighting the atacks on former leaders of the country, Khera said: “The Congress party lost Mahatma ji to Right Wing terrorists. We lost two Prime Ministers at the hands of terrorists.

“We lost our entire Chatisgarh leadership to Let Wing terrorists under the watch of the BJP govt.” Citing a report from a leading news portal, the Congress leader accused BJP of spreading “vitriolic lies” against former Prime Ministers Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi and the entire Gandhi family.

“Prime Minister Modi and entire BJP have been instigating people against the leadership of the Congress party by spreading vitriolic lies against Nehru ji, Indira ji and the entire family. He also mysteriously withdrew their SPG security,” Khera wrote.

Earlier on Sunday, BJP’S IT head Amit Malviya took to his X and accused the leader of opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, of encouraging and justifying violence against Modi.

“Third-time fail Rahul Gandhi has oten encouraged and justified violence against Prime Minister

Modi, who he has lost election to several times now.

“How can India ever forget how Punjab Police, thenunderthecongress, deliberatelycompromised PM’S security, when his convoy was let stranded on a flyover,” Malviya wrote in response to Rahul Gandhi condemning the atack on former US President Donald Trump.

Union Minister JP Nadda, on Sunday, said that the BJP was the only pan-india party that has a presence in all four corners of the country.

“We are a party representing the aspirations and sentiments of 140 crore people. We are the only party that has internal democracy and does not believe in nepotism.

“It is the BJP alone that follows the concept of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’,” BJP national president Nadda said while addressing the one-day state executive of the party in Lucknow.

Askingpartyworkerstomaintainself-confidence and continue with introspection, the union minister said that in BJP, “Every leader is a worker first and every worker can be a leader.”
