Woman gets Dhs20,000 compensati­on for injuries

ABU DHABI: The Abu Dhabi Court for Family and Civil and Administra­tive Cases obligated a man to pay a woman Dhs20,000, ater causing a traffic accident which resulted in her injury and damage to her vehicle.

The court indicated that the woman sustained physical injuries as a result of the accident, and she was terrified and frightened at the moment of the accident.

The details date back to an earlier time, when the complainan­t filed a lawsuit, in which she demanded that the appellee be obligated to pay her Dhs45,000 in compensati­on for the material and moral damages she incurred, and to obligate him to pay fees and expenses. The court indicated that he caused damage to the integrity of her body and to her vehicle as a result of his negligence, lack of caution and violation of the law, as he deviated with his vehicle, and crashed into hers, and as a result, she sustained the injuries shown in the medical report, as well as damaging parts of her vehicle.

The complainan­t explained that the Criminal Court convicted the appellee and fined him Dhs5,000, with a final ruling.

The court said that the appellee’s fault is proved and that the complainan­t suffered physical injuries on the let side, pain in the neck and let shoulder, pain in the let thigh, swelling in the scalp, and moral damages, and then the court obligated the appellee to pay the complainan­t Dhs20,000 in compensati­on besides the fees and expenses.

Separately, the Abu Dhabi Court for Family and Civil and Administra­tive Cases rejected a lawsuit filed by a woman, in which she demanded that anotherwom­anbeobliga­tedtopayhe­rdhs50,000 in compensati­on, ater she was acquited of accusing her of damaging the wires of a computer.

The details date back to an earlier time, when the complainan­t filed her lawsuit, demanding that the appellee be obligated to pay Dhs50,000, in compensati­on for the material and moral damages she incurred, and a legal interest of 2% from the date of the lawsuit until full payment, in addition to paying the fees and expenses of the lawsuit and the lawyer’s fees.
