FITNESS FIRST

Having embraced the New Year, many of you will be having a myriad of resolutions with dos and don’ts. Some might just stick to it religiously whilst others might consider it like a one-night show. Celebrations, party times, and holidays have come to an end, whilst we all get back to our daily routine for another 363 days. It’s about time that we emphasise this year with physical activity and fitness.

This is something that many are thronging to do. However, I wish to address a very pertinent mater on slimming pills. If we look at the ads it’s just poignant the way they are portrayed to the public all for the sake of just making money. Even teens these days rely on the quick fix and they think there is a shortcut to success.

I was 85kg a few years back and ever since I started working out I found it more invigorating, by the time I slimmed down. I am now 76kg. I knew what I wanted to and I worked out with no turn back whatsoever. I had no gym trainer. I did not waste time in the gym, just followed what I needed to do with rigorous rounds of walking, jogging, and yoga, which are now part of my life.

I feel majority of us also lack Vitamin D due to the lack of sun exposure as many of us are used to commuting using our vehicle with office parking available and some parked near their doorstep. It’s time to energise ourselves, love ourselves, and follow a strict daily regime by carrying out physical activities and living a healthy life, rather than depending on quick fix thinking.
