Habitat kid coders excited about Golden Visa
DUBAI: It gave great expectation for the kids coders of Habitat School, when the UAE government offered Golden Visa for almost 100,000 coders. These kid coders have become the winners of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Competition conducted as a part of UAE vision 2021 and UAE strategy of your Artificial Intelligence by the Ministry of Education UAE.
The kids of Habitat Schools have become the winners in different sections of coding like Web development, Python, VEX VR Code, Drone, and Tinker. The first prize winners are; Fathima Shanza Edakkandan on Tynker Level 2 (Habitat School, Al Tallah), Karthik Sharma on Python Cycle 2, Thouhida Islam on Web Development Cycle 2, Arham Anees Sheikh, Ehan Afiq and Vishakan Inbadurai on VEX VR Cycle 1, (Habitat School, Al Jurf) Adila Navas on Web Development Cycle 2, Nikhil Anna, Amaldev Sivadas and Aditya Harish on Mate ROV Scouts Cycle 1 (International Indian School).
As opined by Adil CT, CEO - Academics of Habitat Group of Schools, the students from Grade 1 are taught coding and to encourage and develop the ability of student’s coding, the school conducts the Digital Fest every year under the auspices of Cyber Square, London, which has been one of the main reasons for this huge success. The school included coding in its curriculum from 2014 and in 2019 it has established an Artificial Intelligence lab, the first of its kind established in the UAE.
Recently, the UAE government announced the granting of a ten-year residency visa “Golden Residency” to outstanding high school graduates along with their families. The move comes in appreciation of the efforts of outstanding students and their families, and within the framework of the UAE government’s direction to create an atractive and encouraging environment for talented people.
Applications for Golden Residency are submitted through the Emirates Schools Establishment.
The Golden Residency is granted to outstanding students who have obtained an average rate of at least 95 per cent in high school certificate from public or private schools, and to university students from inside or outside the country who have a cumulative GPA of no less than 3.75 or its equivalent in specific scientific disciplines. The visa will also include the students’ families.
