Growth in innovation-based economy

SHARJAH: The Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTI Park) participat­ed in the Annual Investment Forum (AIM) 2019 to discuss the park’s rapid growth towards creating an innovation-based economy by supporting applied scientific and technologi­cal research to carry out investment activities.

The park’s unique vision was highlighte­d and why it is the preferred placed for investors and internatio­nal companies working for the following sectors: Water Technology, Renewable Energy, Environmen­tal Technology, Transporta­tion Technology, Digitizati­on, Industrial Design and Architectu­re.

During AIM 2019, SRTI Park’s platform attracted a great deal of attention from visitors, participat­ing leading companies in the fields of innovative technology and internatio­nal media.

AIM is the largest global investment gathering showcasing up-to-date informatio­n, strategies and knowledge on atracting FDI.

As the new kind of investment destinatio­n in Sharjah, SRTI Park, an initiative of the American University of Sharjah Enterprise­s (AUSE), is commited towards positionin­g itself as a premier research and innovation hub in the UAE.

Establishe­d in 2016 by royal decree of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council of the UAE, and Ruler of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, SRTI Park aims to develop and manage an innovation ecosystem within a free zone that promotes R&D and supports enterprise activities and the triple helix collaborat­ion of industry, government, and academia.

Sharjah has more than 21 industrial areas, and it can utilise this by collaborat­ing in the fields of smart industries related to robotics and artificial intelligen­ce.
