The event, which runs from 4.30pm to 9pm, will also be transmited by the authority’s social media platforms and electronic app.

Using helicopters, drones and field correspondents, the media team will conduct a unique coverage for watchers to have detailed information about the inauguration of the event.

The new Khor Fakkan road is the most important project of its kind in the region and was built based on Sheikh Sultan’s idea. The Dhs5.5 billion, 89-km long new road will reduce the travel time between Khor Fakkan and Sharjah City from two hours to 45 minutes.

On the directives of Sheikh Sultan, the Sharjah Planning and Survey Department has restored key historic landmarks and areas of the city of Khor Fakkan and surrounding regions
