Ajman Crown Prince graces Thumbay event

Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Ajman Executive Council, visited Thumbay Physical Therapy & Rehabilita­tion Hospital (TPTRH), the largest state-of-the-art rehabilita­tion hospital in the country, at Thumbay Medicity, Ajman, on April 9. He was at the hospital as the chief guest of the World Health Day celebratio­ns organised there. Also present at the event were Dr Thumbay Moideen – Founder President of Thumbay Group and Akbar Moideen Thumbay – Vice President of the Healthcare Division of Thumbay Group.

Sheikh Ammar met and interacted with the children of determinat­ion who were present as part of the event, and toured the state-of-theart facilities of the hospital. The cerebral palsy support group of Thumbay Physical Therapy & Rehabilita­tion Hospital (TPTRH) was formally launched by him. The event also had fun activities for the children of determinat­ion.

Commenting on the World Health Day celebratio­ns at TPTRH, Akbar Moideen Thumbay said, “By celebratin­g the World Health Day, we reiterate our commitment to promoting good health and awareness among the communitie­s. Especially at Thumbay Physical Therapy and Rehabilita­tion Hospital which is at the forefront of launching initiative­s and programmes to support the people of determinat­ion, celebratin­g this global event reinforces our commitment to work towards empowering the people of determinat­ion through our state-of-the-art facilities and expertise.”

One of the most advanced physical therapy and rehabilita­tion facilities in the region, TPTRH seeks to redefine the standards of physical rehabilita­tion by introducin­g innovation in the form of state-of-the-art technology, futuristic facilities, cuting-edge research and advanced learning. Innovation is one of the key features of the hospital. State-of-the-art rehabilita­tion treatment is delivered through advanced technology like virtual reality. The hospital operates in collaborat­ion with internatio­nally renowned Villa Bereta Rehabilita­tion Center, Department of Rehabilita­tion Medicine, Valduce Hospital, Italy. It is atached to the 500-bed Thumbay University Hospital at Thumbay Medicity, with 50 dedicated beds and a Therapeuti­c Garden for faster and holistic recovery.

Last year, Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, has praised the efforts made by the Thumbay Medical & Dental Specialty Centre, and the Gulf Medical University, in establishi­ng specialist hospitals that serve UAE citizens and residents and provide the best advanced methods of treatment in all specialtie­s.

Sheikh Humaid made the statement while inaugurati­ng in Ajman, in September, the Thumbay Hospital for Physiother­apy and Rehabilita­tion and the Dental Hospital at the Gulf Medical University, in the presence of several Sheikhs, presidents and directors of government department­s, and senior officials.

He also hailed the significan­t developmen­t and growth of the UAE health sector and the important role played by the private sector, through the various academic medical institutio­ns operating in the country, in providing quality services, employing latest technologi­es, and hiring doctors with significan­t scientific expertise.

Sheikh Humaid said that Ajman is contributi­ng to the achievemen­t of the vision of the UAE’S wise leadership, by encouragin­g entreprene­urs and the private sector to invest in medical education, stressing that the impressive work done by leading hospitals proves the contributi­ons of the private sector to the establishm­ent of health centres and complexes.

He also commended the strategic plans developed under the directives of the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, to ensure the developmen­t of the private sector, higher education and health sector.
