DUBAI: In line with Dubai’s continuing leadership to atract investments from key global markets, the Dubai Investment Development Agency (Dubai FDI) — the investment development agency of the Department of Economic Development (DED) in Dubai — kicked off recently its first of a series of visits for 2019 under the Global Promotional Investment Programme.

The tour, which takes place from March 9 to March 16, 2019, is aimed towards strengthening bilateral relations with one of the most important global economic powers while also opening new markets in line with Dubai’s vision to promote economic diversification. The mission is scheduled to visit Los Angeles, California and Denver, Colorado. Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) inflows from US into Dubai marks $3.9 billion in 2018.

The organisation of the Promotional Investment Mission falls in line with Dubai FDI’S continuing efforts to establish partnerships with international investors—enabling them to expand and sustain their business through the Emirate of Dubai and highlight the opportunities for partnership and knowledge between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the United States of America (USA) in the field of investment and exports. This is the second time that Dubai FDI will be holding a promotional investment mission to these cities.

Fahad Al Gergawi, CEO, Dubai FDI, said: “We are convinced that Los Angeles and Denver hold exciting prospects for mutually beneficial and sustainable partnerships
