Dar Al Ber Society marks Flag Day with labourers

DUBAI: Dar Al Ber Society organised UAE Flag Day celebration with 750 labourers from Dubai Municipality at Zabeel Park.

The workers were brought by a number of buses to be the part of the Zayed Happiness Caravan initiatives by Dar Al Ber Society and was attended by the management of Dubai Parks and Dar Al Ber Society.

The workers were treated with specially prepared pizza, cakes, sweets and gifts.

Debonairs Pizza had made 750 pizzas especially for the event which everybody enjoyed thoroughly.

All the labourers also received gifts including shampoo, soap, cream, etc. from Dar Al Ber Society.

“Our aim behind the UAE Flag Day celebrations is to spread happiness among the underprivileged section of the society. As the whole nation celebrates UAE Flag Day, we did not want our labourer brothers and sister to be left behind in the celebration. We are very happy to contribute in the happiness of these people on this special occasion,” said Dr Hisham Al Zahrani, Deputy Director, Social Sector, Dar Al Ber Society.

Juhi Yasmeen Khan, CSR & Charity Initiatives Expert at Dar Al Ber Society said “we are very happy to organise UAE Flag Day with 750 labourers.

It was so heart-warming to see 750 labourers cheering with the UAE Flags. It was like a huge party.”

Workers on their part expressed their gratitude towards the society to and thanked it for the delicious food and gifts.
