Dar Al Ber Society donates Dhs1m for Kerala relief

DUBAI: Dar Al-bar Society has announced a donation of Dh1 million towards relief activities for the lood victims in the state of Kerala in India, affirming its active and increased participat­ion in the state’s relief activities. This initiative afirms the United Arab Emirates’ strong humanitari­an policies, which include providing support to the needy, and relief to those affected by natural and civil disasters around the world.

Dar Al-bar Society expressed its sincere gratitude to the vision of the UAE leadership, represente­d by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

A national level emergency committee headed by the UAE Red Crescent Society and Humanitari­an Societies in the UAE has been launched to provide relief to the lood victims ahead of Eid Al Adha. The Dar Al Ber Society also welcomes donations from the public through all its branches in the UAE, including Dubai, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain, as well as through its delegates in shopping malls.

Khalfan Khalifa Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Board, said: “Dar Al Ber has launched its direct ield operations to raise funds and aid for the Indian state as part of the UAE Humanitari­an Relief Campaign launched by the UAE under the guidance and leadership of the UAE Red Crescent Authority. The aim of the emergency relief campaign is to reduce the impact of human and material losses incurred in the past few days through providing food, essentials and livelihood.”
