DSC, ADSC form preparatory panels for UAE Tour
Dubai: kicking off their preparations for next year’s UAE Tour, the Dubai Sports Council (DSC) and Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) held a coordination meeting at DSC, where they announced the formation of the Local Organising Committees and discussed various other issues.
The UAE Tour came into being last month following the decision to merge the Dubai Tour and Abu Dhabi Tour, on the instructions of the country’s wise leadership. The Higher Executive Committee of the UAE Tour, which will showcase the country through seven unique stages, will be headed by Saeed Hareb, the Secretary General of DSC, while Aref Al Awani, the Secretary General of ADSC, while be the vice-chairman.
Osama Al Sharif, President of the UAE and Asian Cycling Federation, is also a member of the Higher Executive Committee along with Nasser Al Rahma, Mubarak Al Ameri, Enrico Fili and Fabrizio D’amico.
Awani heads the Marketing and Communication Committee, which includes Ahmed Ibrahim, Ahmed Al Qubaisi, Sara Al Sayegh, Khlood Al Mazrouei, Salem Al Naqbi, Anwar Shaikh and Luca Onofrio.
The Commercial and Legal Committee is led by Nasser Al Rahma and its members are Ahmed Al Hosani, Salah Al Marzouqi, Ahmed Al Dhaheri, Dr Shamsalmaref Bakhit, Enrico Fili and Fabrizio D’amico.
Talal Al Hashime chairs the Technical Committee, which includes Mohammed Mehrab, Duccio Ticciati, Ahmed Mesaabi, Mohammed Al Shatri, Dr Reema Al Hosani.
