AD CP receives young Arab media profession­als

AL AIN: His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Monday received the participan­ts at the Young Arab Media Leaders Forum, who were accompanie­d by Shamma Bint Suhail Faris Al Mazrui, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, at Al Maqam Palace in Al Ain.

Sheikh Mohamed welcomed the young Arab media leaders and wished them success in their endeavour to provide media content that relects ambitions for developmen­t and stability in the Arab countries. He expressed pleasure at meeting the young leaders and underlined their crucial role in the enlightenm­ent of the Arab societies.

“We (in the Arab world) face several challenges and the only way to overcome them is to strengthen our solidarity with each other. We look forward to seeing the Arab media becoming the best in the world. We need to see a creative and innovative generation of Arab media leaders with a contempora­ry message that carries our Arab identity and relects our aspiration­s for cultural, intellectu­al and developmen­tal progress in the Arab countries. We also hope that our media leaders will commit to employing the different tools of media for the welfare of the societies in the Arab countries and in the whole world,” he said.

The Young Arab Media Leaders Programme is part of the Arab Youth Media Initiative that aims to prepare the next generation of the brightest Arab media talents, under the patronage and directives of Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidenti­al Affairs.
