SERIOUS ISSUES

-

PAKISTAN is rich in natural resources but poor in planning and management (”Unemployment, inlation Pak’s ‘‘biggest problems”, November 24, 2017, The Gulf Today). Unemployment and inlation are world issues. However, these are also considered to be the serious and biggest problems of Pakistan. Unemployment means people are willing to work but they don’t ind jobs and inlation means the increase in price level where the purchasing power falls. It is very painful to see people wondering from door to door in search of jobs and it is also very awful to see when people cannot buy bread and butter to live. Many of the people go abroad in order to earn for their families.

Something needs to be done. We are over populated with limited jobs, we don’t have quality and vocational education, there is lack of enough industries, lack of strong commitment by the government to eradicate the unemployment issue, lack of Government planning & interest in providing infrastructure and facilities in the ield of energy, telecommunication, industry, tourism, agriculture, transportation, Information Technology etc.

Strong commitment is required in this regard. It is very important that there should not be any increase in the prices of daily usage items.

Civilian Government should control inlation, unemployment, shrinking GDP and lessening exports. The need of the hour is to ight united against the menace of corruption in the country. Pakistan is full of natural resources, project like China–pakistan Economic Corridor can provide the jobs to our people, can cure our inlation problem and revive our country’s economy.
