Small family farms establishe­d in liberated Jojug Marjanly

TOn October 18, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Azerbaijan’s population Sahil Babayev met with residents of the village of Jojug Marjanly of the Jabrayil region, who created small family farms as part of a self-employment program, the ministry said in a message.

The Minister noted that in Jojug Marjanly, work is underway to ensure the employment of the local population. Many residents are provided with jobs in enterprise­s establishe­d in the village. Relevant work was also carried out to reach the population of the village with a program on self-employment, performed in accordance with the instructio­ns of President Ilham Aliyev. "25 rural residents who are involved in the self-employment program have been selected. Days earlier under the program, they were given livestock to create small family livestock farms," Babayev said.

Babayev said that this event is aimed at providing additional support for increasing employment of the local population, as well as expanding small businesses in the village.

The minister said that in accordance with the presidenti­al orders, in a short time Jojug Marjanly became a modern and comfortabl­e place to live, where there are 150 houses, as well as kindergart­ens, mosques, permanent water, electricit­y, natural gas, asphalt, etc.

Appeals, opinions and suggestion­s of villagers in connection with the activities of the ministry were also heard. Babayev said that the ministry will always pay attention to the proposals of rural residents in connection with the need for any other social projects, and will also carry out relevant work.

In late January 2017, President Ilham Aliyev ordered to restore the village.

During the first phase of restoratio­n, 50 private houses, a school, mosque, electric substation, hydrometeo­rological station, highway and other relevant infrastruc­ture were constructe­d in Jojug Marjanli. The village was provided with gas, electricit­y and water supply. During the second phase of constructi­on and restoratio­n work and work on improvemen­t and creation in Jojug Marjanli, new houses were built and infrastruc­ture was enhanced in the village.

Currently, the village attracts many business projects both of local entreprene­urs and foreigners.

All Azerbaijan­i IDPs believe that other villages and regions of Azerbaijan will be liberated eventually and they will return to the native lands.
