The English-born presenter, known as Funny John, has maintained his legendary status as class clown. Appearing alongside Benita, who called him “wicked” and “delicious” to work with, they were one of the most loved pairings. After Play School, John wrote a memoir, Open Wide, Come Inside. Now 84, he is retired and lives in Tasmania with his third wife Jenny.
