LUXE BRAND REVEALS FIRST AUSSIE ‘PLAYGROUND’
TWO acquisitions by hotel giant Accor will form a delicious union in a new restaurant in the eatery formerly known as Seaduction in Peppers Soul.
Through its new 50 per cent stake in hospitality group Sbe, and its full ownership of properties previously operated by Mantra Group, Accor will open the first Hyde-branded restaurant outside the US.
Hyde Paradiso is billed as “a fashionable playground for an endless summer, inspired by LA’s famous Sunset Strip”.
The venue will open all day and evolve into an evening lounge and dining experience.
Accor Pacific chief operating officer Simon McGrath said the restaurant was the first venue for Sbe in Australia. “Hyde Paradiso will be a game changer for the Gold Coast, which is befitting of a sophisticated and energetic venue that will become the place to see and be seen by the sea,” he said.
Sbe CEO and founder Sam Nazarian said the company’s expansion into Soul would complement its portfolio.
“Australia is such a welcoming, youthful, and dynamic market full of growth opportunities for our brands, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to launch Hyde on the Gold Coast,” he said.
“We look forward to bringing more of our brands, dining and entertainment experiences to Australia and across the globe with Accor in the future.”
Hyde’s current locations include a Sunset Strip flagship, Las Vegas, Downtown LA and two locations in Miami.
Other Sbe restaurant brands include Katsuya, Umami Burger, Carna, Cleo, Leynia, Diez & Siez and Filia.
Its entertainment brands include Hyde, Nightingale, Privilege dayclub, Black Orchid, S Bar, Skybar and the Doheny Room.
