Events hit hard by the fallout
SOME events planned for the weekend have been canned or rescheduled because of Tropical Cyclone Oma. All 34 Gold Coast beaches, and Currumbin Creek and Tallebudgera Creek, remain closed for the weekend.
The City of Gold Coast has advised people to stay away from rock walls and seaways.
AFFECTED VENUES TODAY BYRON BAY SURF FESTIVAL
The Surf Art Markets has been cancelled. The Saturday Movies & Events at Byron Bay Community Centre (4-9.30pm) and Live Music at the Beach Hotel (9am — noon) will continue as planned.

Postponed until Saturday, March 2.
