Haven in holiday style

-

Every day feels like a holiday in a Robina home that takes resort-style living to a whole new level courtesy of luxe features, including a private dance studio, indoor swimming pool, and unobstructed lake views.

On a 2756sq m block in the exclusive Pipers Point precinct, the sprawling eight-bedroom home is surrounded by lush tropical gardens, offers total privacy and 53.3m of water frontage.

Mei and Michael Hagen bought the home as their family residence in 2014 after being drawn to its ambience and location.

“The first thing we saw was that incredible water view of the lake and it just felt so calm and peaceful,” Ms Hagen said.

“There are a lot of canals on the Gold Coast, but there aren’t that many where you can’t see houses across the way. Here, there was green space all around and it felt like a sanctuary.”

In 2019, the Hagens completed a major renovation that included adding an indoor pool and a private dance studio that doubles as a multipurpose area and has its own private Japanese-style steam room with outdoor bath.

Ms Hagen said the indoor pool allowed for year-round swimming, while also reducing maintenance, and the size and layout of the home made it ideal for entertaining. “It’s a brilliant house for guests,” she said. “We’ve had quite a few parties here, which have been fabulous as everyone can congregate where they want, yet it’s so private.”

Ms Hagen said the family spent a lot of time in the main living area overlooking the pool and also enjoyed gathering in the recently renovated kitchen.

“I love to cook and it’s a really easy kitchen as there’s so much space so everyone can be there working together.”

Ms Hagen said the home had offered her family a haven.

“We’ve had a busy 10 years and this place has been a sanctuary and space where our family has thrived,” she said.

“You could be in another country, it’s so tranquil, you look out to Robina Island and it’s like every day is a holiday, yet its location is incredible,” she said.

“It’s close to shopping centres, schools and everything you need.”
