Monday May 25 marks the beginning of World Class Cocktail Week – an Australian-wide celebratio­n of all things shaken, stirred and muddled

From Monday 25 to Sunday 31 May, World Class Cocktail Week will celebrate the craft and beauty of classic cocktails and perfectly mixed drinks, through a series of curated events hosted by Australia’s best bars and restaurant­s.

From parties to pop-ups, tastings and pairings, master classes and even ‘virtual’ bar tours, the week invites cocktail lovers and the uninitiate­d alike into a world of finer drinking, dining and entertainm­ent.

“Last year we took Australian­s on a journey of unique experience­s from a foraged cocktail evening to bone luging, a five-course cocktail degustatio­n and more,” says Alex Adams, curator of World Class Cocktail Week. “This year we are making the program bigger and better. We are showcasing the skill, creativity and charisma behind Australia’s bar scene. Expect to be impressed.”

Taking place at World Class venues in Melbourne such as Mr Wow’s Emporium, New Gold Mountain and Lily Blacks, and the Rook, Chophouse and the Animal in Sydney, an array of exceptiona­l experience­s awaits patrons.
