Impossible not to pick Unpossible

- JOSH SPASARO

WITH the benefit of box seven, Andrew Lasker’s Unpossible is a good chance of extending her winning streak to five in the $1120 Holdfast Insurance Brokers Dash (383m) at Winnellie Park tonight.

Still just one year old, the versatile bitch was a classy all the way six-length winner in the $1075 Sage Contracting Dash (312m) race seven on Wednesday night.

“She jumped out well from box one,” Lasker said.

“She tries all the time. I’ll probably swap her distances around.”

When asked if Unpossible could continue her winning streak, Lasker said, “I hope so”.

Threats to Unpossible’s purple patch in form for race eight on the card include Arnhem Invader (Jamie Hosking) and Big Stink (Brian Kelleher).

In the $1750 Nightcliff Sports And Social Club (537m) feature race five, Phantom Henry (Hosking) appeared a little flat last start.

But he is a handy performer and it would not be unwise to give him another chance in this line-up.

Meale’s Chance (Lasker) from box one can go well, while last-start winner Dust and Sand (Graeme Ferns) should start favourite.

New trainer Vanessa Ferns has Likeshell in race one, and Nadia’s Fun (Russell Savige), Quick Foot (Richard Carr) and Ritto’s Hanger (Hans Spykers) are other chances.

Steele Bolton has found the trick with Crocodile Crush, and he has the ability to go on with the job in race two.

Ferns has a strong say in race three with Swansee, Swansea Shannon and Pontypiari engaged.

Carr will be looking for improvement from his runner Aware, who has drawn nicely in box eight in race four.

Hosking has found a nice race over 312m for Sweet Crystal and she will be hard to toss in race six.

Box eight gives I’m Late (Hosking) a genuine chance to get back in the winner’s circle in race seven.

Love You Later (Savige) was disappointing last start, but box eight should suit her and she has ability going into race nine.
