Screen icons gather at CRC Speedshow

Cars have always been stars in movies — who can forget the Bond cars, the Mad Max Interceptor, the Delorean time machine, Herbie, or our very own Mini in Goodbye Pork Pie?
To celebrate the big-screen history of the automobile, the CRC Speedshow will have a huge area dedicated to the vehicles at this year’s show. Already lined up are a ’69 Dodge Charger — General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard; the Kitt Trans Am from Knight Rider, the Eleanor from
Gone in 60 Seconds, the Ford Falcon XB GT Interceptor from Mad Max, an Auburn Boattail from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, the scary 1958 Plymouth Fury from Christine, a Herbie VW Beetle, the Indian Streamliner from The World’s Fastest Indian; a Jurassic Park Ford Explorer; a ’32 Deuce coupe from American Graffiti, a ’66 Ford Thunderbird convertible from Thelma and Louise; and, of course, a Mini from our own
Goodbye Pork Pie blockbuster! It’s just one of a number of huge attractions at this year’s show, which will include, as always, a massive selection of road cars, race cars, hot rods, and live action. The collection of iconic cars from the big and small screens is one that organizer Ross Prevette is sure will appeal to all visitors at the show.
