“The problem is, the court case is dragging out with so much back and forth and it’s chewing into her funds,” the source reveals.
“She hasn’t taken on much work at all since they split four years ago, whereas Brad has been working and bringing in the cash … he’s doing fine.”
There are concerns Angelina’s cash flow issues are so dire that she even recently sold a high-priced artwork from her personal collection. Rubbing salt in the wound is the fact that the piece was gifted to her by Brad, who bought the painting by former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill in 2011 for $3.8 million. However, when Angelina recently put it up for sale, it had almost quadrupled in value, fetching a whopping $15 million! The source claims it’s a worrying sign if Angelina is “publicly hocking” milliondollar artworks.
Meanwhile, Angelina was recently photographed at dinner in Beverly Hills with fellow actress Ellen Pompeo.
The source reveals the pair – who were joined by some of their children – were a surprise duo, given they’d never been seen together socially.
The outing has sparked speculation that Angelina may have been angling for work opportunities from the Grey’s Anatomy star.
“Ellen’s career is on a mild streak right now and things are comparatively dead for Angelina, so they could also be talking shop,” explains the insider.
