We’re now well into the 2016 Fujifilm Showcase competitio­n – the standard is high, but why not see if you can do even better? Entering the Fujifilm Showcase is easier than ever – you can now do it online by submitting images to cameracomp@avhub.com.au, or send us digital files on a DVD or USB drive.

FUJIFILM SHOWCASE

The 2016 Fujifilm Showcase closes on 30 September 2016. Entries received after this date will be automatica­lly entered in the 2017 competitio­n which starts with the November/ December 2016 issue. The overall winner of the 2016 competitio­n will be announced in the same issue. You can enter the Fujifilm Showcase as many times as you like during the year, submitting up to four photograph­s each time. Please make sure you provide all the necessary camera and film/capture details on the entry coupon or with your email.

Note that it is not a requiremen­t that entries to the Fujifilm Showcase be taken on Fujifilm camera equipment, but Fujifilm Australia generously supplies the prizes for each round’s successful entrants to the Showcase, and the grand prize at the end of the year.

The winner of a round wins a Fujifilm 32 GB SDHC memory card, the Highly Commended wins a Fujifilm 16 GB SDHC memory card, and the Commended image wins its creator a Fujifilm 8.0 GB SD memory card.

The grand prize for the 2016 competitio­n is the highly-desirable Fujifilm X70 Black high-end compact camera which is valued at $1049 and combines a Fujinon 18.5mm f2.8 wide-angle prime lens (equivalent to 28mm) with a 16.7 megapixels (total) X-Trans CMOS II ‘APS-C’ sized sensor.
