TI Computers VivoMini UN65HM002M
A complete kitted-out system.
Very slightly bigger than the classic NUC form factor, the VivoMini is also a little sleeker and blends in well with Hi-Fi and other AV gear. Also sold as a barebones system without RAM or HDD, our test model has been outfitted for sale as a ready-to-rock system by TI Computers.
At the heart of the VivoMini is an Intel Core i5-6200U CPU that boosts dual cores (and four threads) up to 2.8GHz. The processor includes Intel HD 520 graphics, and is backed up by a massive 16GB of DDR3 RAM.
For OS and storage, TI Computers has outfitted the Vivo with a 250GB M.2 SSD, as well as a secondary 500GB HDD. It also comes with Windows 10 preinstalled, with no bloatware to be seen.
The VivoMini has more than enough power for HTPC duties, and will run most applications without a hiccup, as well as output 4K video. Sure, it’s still not a high-end number cruncher, or a gaming machine, but it can hold its own in a lounge setting. It’s also very quiet, even when under load, and is pretty much inaudible across a room.
For network and peripheral connectivity, the VivoMini has dual-band Intel AC1200 Wi-Fi, plus Bluetooth 4.0 and Gigabit Ethernet.
On the back, it has two USB 3.0 ports, HDMI and a 3.5mm audio I/O jack. Round the side, the tiny PC has another two USB 3.0 ports, plus a mini DisplayPort connection and a card reader.
