DANNY INGS is a wanted man as Southampton sweat over whether the 28-year-old England striker will sign a new improved contract.
Ings, who has just 12 months of his current deal to run, will become the Saints’ highest-paid player if he puts pen to paper.
But the forward, who recovered from a hamstring injury to score twice in the 3-1 win over Crystal Palace, knows he has admirers elsewhere.

Southampton are desperate to hold on to their leading scorer whose goals on the south coast have propelled him back into the England set-up.
There is a belief that he will agree the new contract before meeting up with England as part of Gareth Southgate’s England squad for this summer’s European Championships.
But if he does not, then they would demand a fee of around £30million for his services.
