NEWCASTLE scouts are running checks on in-demand Bristol City midfielder Alex Scott.

Bournemouth and Wolves has already seen offers knocked back.

Tottenham, West Ham and Crystal Palace have also had Scott watched – and now Toon boss Eddie Howe is ready to enter the race to land him.

The 19-year-old is regarded as one of the brightest young talents in the country and fits the profile of player Newcastle have been targeting.
