£60m for Arsenal to get Neto

- RYAN TAYLOR

ARSENAL may have to pay up to £60million to prise Pedro Neto from Wolves in January.

The 23-year-old

Portugal winger’s value is increasing almost weekly after a succession of eye-catching displays for the Molineux club.

The Gunners have been long-standing admirers of Neto, who has made a great impression on both Mikel Arteta and sporting director Edu since arriving in the Premier League with Wolves back in 2019.

Neto – represented by super-agent Jorge Mendes – is a Gunners supporter.

He was the subject of a transfer enquiry from the Emirates Stadium that was immediately rebuffed by Wolves in the summer.

But Neto’s stock is on the rise once again following his blistering start to the season under Gary O’Neil.

Injuries to Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard have left Arsenal light on the ground in attack, with striker Gabriel Jesus yet to replicate last season’s form.
