Nelson’s future is up in air
REISS NELSON is expected to return to Arsenal next summer – sparking a fresh fight for his signature.
The winger, who suffered a hamstring injury in midweek, has impressed as he nears the halfway stage of his season’s loan at Fulham.
But the agreement struck between the two clubs contained no option or obligation to buy.
Despite not being part of Arsenal’s long-term plans, the 24-year-old will return to the Gunners before thrashing out his future.
West Ham and Ipswich were pipped by Fulham for Nelson (above), who will still have three years left on his Arsenal deal when the loan is up. It is unlikely he will stay at the Emirates – or prolong his time at Craven Cottage.
