Gab’s injury fears could hit Gunners
DEFENDER LIMPS OFF FOR BRAZIL
ARSENAL had a big injury scare as defender Gabriel limped out of Brazil’s friendly win over Senegal at the Emirates Stadium.
The 27-year-old (far left) went down just before the hour mark and received treatment to his right thigh before being subbed off.
Brazil boss Carlo Ancelotti said: “Bad? I don’t know, he had a problem with his adductor. We are really sorry for this.”
Gabriel’s absence would be a major blow for the Gunners after a fine start to the season based on a firm defence.
Chelsea winger Estevao and Manchester United midfielder Casemiro scored in the 2-0 victory.
