Rangers are edging closer to agreeing a deal for Colak
Rangers hope to be able to announce the signing of Antonio Colak this week.
They are understood to be the Croatian striker’s preferred option of the quintet of clubs attempting to tempt him from Greek club PAOK.

and Copenhagen, along with Real Mallorca from Spain and PAOK’s domestic rivals, Panathinaikos, are all equally keen on the 28-year-old.
However, while Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s feat in leading his side to the Europa League Final in May has helped sell Colak on the benefits of a switch to Scotland, there is still work to do on the fee.
PAOK want £2.5 million, but Rangers have yet to bid beyond €2m mark, about £1.75m.
With talks over price under way, the player’s representatives expect a compromise figure will be reached in the coming days.
Colak’s current club are themselves trying to come to an arrangement with a replacement for the Croatian.
They like Fortuna Dusseldorf forward Khaled Narey, who can play wide or through the middle. The Bundesliga 2 club are looking for the same size of fee as PAOK are asking for Colak.
Rangers, meanwhile, have completed the £350,000 sale of Rory Wilson to Aston Villa.
The Scotland Under-17 international has signed for the Birmingham club on a threeand-a-half-year deal.
By doing so, he becomes the first player to leave Ibrox to join up with former Light Blues manager Steven Gerrard in Birmingham.
Still just 16, Wilson has signed a scholarship deal until the end of the year when he will move onto a three-year professional contract.
Crossing the border in the opposite direction could be Manchester City midfielder James McAtee, who is a loan target for Van Bronckhorst.
