WOLVES are poised to play a 15-year-old against Arsenal tonight after he skipped a science lesson to prepare to face the Premier League title challengers.

Right back Wesley Okoduwa would become Wolves’ youngest player at 15 years, 344 days. The hosts have only 10 fit senior outfield players, with nine men either ruled out or unable to play from the start. ‘We’re probably in the worst situation we’ve been in but the positive is there will be loads of young players involved against Arsenal,’ said Wolves boss Gary O’Neil. ‘There might be a debut or two from the start. ‘Some of those on the bench I don’t know too well if I’m honest. One was pleased he got to miss his science lesson this morning so he could train with us. I hope he’s had more fun with us than he would have done in science! He’s ready for the game.’

Okoduwa, who has been linked with Manchester United, would become the Premier League’s second youngest player after Arsenal’s Ethan Nwaneri.
