VVD up for ’big fight’

VIRGIL VAN DIJK insists Liverpool should relish the chance to inflict a first home defeat of the season on Arsenal.
The Reds captain (above) says Thursday’s trip to the Emirates should energise the players as they look to extend their nine-game unbeaten run.
“They have a fantastic squad,” Van Dijk said. “We all know at home they are unbeaten this season in all competitions. So we should be ready for a big fight.
“There is no reason to not look forward to it. It’s another opportunity.”
The Dutch defender said Liverpool’s draw at Fulham on Sunday shows how tough the Premier League is.
“We did everything in our power to win the game,” he added. “Is this the quality of the Premier League? I agree with that. Every game is very difficult.”
