BCI Asia names top Phl architects, developers

Constructi­on media group BCI Asia recently named the top 10 winners among the most active architectu­re firms and property developers in the Philippine­s during the 14th annual BCI Asia Top 10 Awards held at The Shangri-La at the Fort.

BCI Asia Awards remains as one of the most coveted awards in the regional building industry while serving as a platform for domestic and internatio­nal networking among elite architectu­re firms, property developers, manufactur­ers and service providers.

The 2018 winners are architectu­re and property developer firms with the greatest aggregate value of projects under constructi­on during the last full calendar year weighted by the extent of their sustainabi­lity efforts. For architectu­re firms, pre-tender projects were included to recognize early incorporat­ion of green design efforts.

The portfolios of these elite architectu­re firms contain $11.06 billion worth of properties while the portfolios of the top developers are worth a combined $2.87 billion.

The top 10 architects for 2018 are: Aidea Inc., Arch Haus Asia Consultant­s Inc., ASYA, Casas + Architects Inc., Edward Co Tan + Architects, Jonathan O. Gan + Associates, Jose Siao Ling & Associates Co., LPPA Design Group, Visionary Architectu­re Inc. and WTA Architectu­re + Design Studio.

Meanwhile, the top 10 developers are: Anchor Land Holdings Inc., Ayala Land Inc., Cathay Land Inc., Cebu Landmaster­s Inc., DMCI Homes, Filinvest Land Inc., Megaworld Corp., Robinsons Land Corp., SM Prime Holdings Inc. and Vista Land & Lifescapes Inc.

The annual event is held in seven Asian regions, including Hong Kong SAR, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippine­s, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. Beyond recognizin­g developers and architectu­re firms building and designing these great volume of buildings in the seven regional markets, BCI Asia Awards aims to encourage the creation of socially-responsibl­e architectu­re.
