MULTINATIONALS EXPLOITING ZAMBIA’S RESOURCES

THE Fight Inequality Alliance Zambia has expressed the need to address corporate inequalities where multinational companies continue to have low taxes after exploiting Zambia’s resources while local businesses and citizens pay more.

Alliance National Coordinator Mputa Ngalande noted that the tax regime needed to address inequalities as taxes keep going down for corporates and multinational companies despite making profits out of Zambia’s resources.

And Mr Ngalande said there is need to address the inequalities that still affect young people in terms of employment and economic opportunities.

Mr Ngalande said the lack of adequate young people in positions of influence is an inequality that needs to be addressed, among other issues.
