Senior groups list meeting schedules
Kingston Chapter No. 2039 of AARP will meet Wednesday, Nov. 16, at 1 p.m. at Esopus Town Hall, 284 Broadway.
The guest speaker will be Dora Marshall. She will talk about vision loss.
The next executive board meeting will take place Friday, Dec. 2, at 1 p.m. at Esopus Town Hall.
The group’s Christmas Party will take place Thursday, Dec. 8, at The Best Western, 503 Washington Ave., Kingston. The event will start at noon with a cash bar and lunch at 12:30 p.m. Reservations must be made by Dec. 1. The cost of the lunch is $32 per person.

The following trips for 2017 are scheduled:
• April 12, “Those Fabulous ‘50s” at The Royal Manor. The bus will leave Kingston Plaza at 8:30 a.m. Take a trip back to the fabulous days and nights of the 1950s. There will be a family-style menu with two complimentary drinks. The cost is $86 per person.
• May 18, Guided tour of West Point.
The bus leaves Kingston Plaza at 8:30 a.m. Includes lunch at the Hotel Thayer and a narrated cruise on the Hudson River.
The cost is $128 per person.
More trips are available. All day trips must be paid in full at the time people sign up. All overnight trips require a $100 deposit per person.

The Town of Ulster Senior Club will meet Thursday, Nov. 17, at the Town of Ulster Senior Center, 1 Town Hall Drive.
Refreshments will be served at 12:30 p.m. The meeting will begin at 1 p.m.
The meeting will include the annual nomination and election of officers for 2017.
In addition, final plans will be made for the club’s Christmas Party. Because the group will not meet on Thanksgiving Day, this will be its last meeting before the party. Members need to make their reservations by Dec. 1.
The group’s meetings are a time for friendship, socialization and the sharing of ideas. New members are always welcome.
After the meetings, those who wish to stay can play bingo.
The Board of Managers of the Hudson Valley Senior Residence will meet Thursday, Nov. 17, at 9:30 a.m. at the residence at 80 Washington Ave.
Those planning to attend are asked to remember to bring homemade cookies that will be distributed to each resident during the traditional Thanksgiving visit.
The meeting will follow at 10:30 a.m., after which attendees will address invitations for the December Open House.
Those unable to attend are asked to notify Anna Mae Knowles.
The Woodstock Senior Citizens Club will meet Thursday, Nov. 17, at 1 p.m. at Woodstock Elementary School, 8 West Hurley Road.
The school will serve a turkey luncheon for seniors who live in the surrounding area.
