Ione M. Taft, 96, of Kingston

Ione M. Taft, of Main Street, died Friday, Nov. 11, 2016, at home. She was 96.

She was born in Middletown, Ohio, a daughter of the late Casper and Jean Gailey Noell.

A textile designer, she worked for HM Textile in New York City prior to raising her family.

Her husband, Dr. Richard Taft, died on Oct. 25, 1994.

Surviving are two daughters, Margaret (Margo) Beaman and her husband John of Kingston; Donna Coyner and her husband Robert of Lynchburg, Va.; two stepsons, Robert Taft of Glens Falls and William Taft of Florida; and a sister, Jane Fitzgerald and her husband Harry of Seattle, Wash. Seven grandchildren, Shawn, Kirk and Lee Manning, Michelle Therin, Jason and Robert Coyner and Tara Casadone; nine great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews also survive.

Entrusted to the care of A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave., Kingston, where friends will be received on Tuesday from 2to4and6to8p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10 a.m.
