Trucks and trailers up for grabs

Buyers will be spoilt for choice, says PVA

-

● Park Village Auctions’ (PVA’s) next commercial vehicle auction promises to have something for every buyer, with a wide variety of trucks, trailers, farming and plant equipment on the block.

PVA’s LeRoy Augustyn says the vehicles and equipment stem from bank repossessions, liquidated and deceased estates, and represent the best possible value-for-money deals on the market today.

“We are expecting a spectrum of buyers this time who will have the choice of rigid trucks and truck-tractors from manufacturers such as Freightliner, Hino, International, Isuzu, Iveco, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi Fuso, Nissan, Scania, Tata, Toyota Dyna, Volvo as well as various MAN TGA and TGS models on offer,” Augustyn says.

There will also be a selection of trailers and earth-moving equipment on the block, comprising flat-deck link trailers, SA Truck Bodies, Henred Fruehauf, Afrit and Motor Trail flat-deck, side-tippers, Tautliner trailers, skidsteer loaders, excavators and backhoe loaders.

Stand-out lots include a large fleet of Afrit 40m³ side-tipper link trailers, which stem from a liquidation matter.

“As some sectors of the market begin to gear up for the summer season and others begin to prepare for the expected construction and mining upsurges, it pays to maximise spend by looking out for goodquality second-hand vehicles and equipment,” says Augustyn.

“With specially arranged preview days our buyers can inspect their potential purchases and ensure that they are fully operational vehicles, often with relatively low mileage, to cost-effectively replenish their fleets.”

The auction will commence at 10.30am on Thursday at gate No 2 of the Nasrec Expo Centre.

Viewing will take place on site on Wednesday from 9am to 4pm.
