Bringing passion for innovation into future of Phl infrastructure
At the dawn of the Golden Age of Infrastructure in the Philippines, International Elevator and Equipment Inc. (IEE) puts its passion for innovation at the forefront of doing business. On its 50th year, IEE, A Group Company of Mitsubishi Electric, once again took part in PhilConstruct 2019 – the biggest construction showcase event in the country for 30 years running, held recently from Nov. 7 to 10 at the SMX Convention Center to exhibit its latest innovative technological solutions built for the future of smarter infrastructures.
Themed “Passion for Quality Innovation,” IEE’s exhibit at PhilConstruct 2019 showcased its wide range of technologically-advanced, energy efficient products and solutions that contribute to meet, complete, and improve the ever-evolving building and construction requirements of the country. The company’s showcase included Mr. Slim wall-mounted splittype air conditioners, floor-standing, ceiling-suspended and ceiling cassette air conditioning units, variable refrigerant flow (VRF) multi-systems (City Multi) and hydronics system chillers, jet towel hand dryers, and ventilators.
The highlight of the company’s showcase, however, was the unique Lossnay Heat-Exchange Technology, introduced first in the country and only offered by Mitsubishi Electric. The technology, founded and invented almost half a century ago, was created in partnership with Nakatsugawa Works in Japan in order to improve air quality within structures lacking proper air flow.
Technologies like Lossnay are prime examples of why IEE continues to work with Mitsubishi Electric in continually innovating to be number one. “In Mitsubishi, it’s always about innovation, and always about Changes for the Better,” said Ramoncito A. Ocampo, president of IEE. “As our contribution to society, we innovate our products to find ways to be more energy efficient and eco-friendly, as this is our company thrust. All our technologies, even the elevators and escalators, are continuously improving and positively developing.”
IEE’s involvement in PhilConstruct 2019 only served to exemplify its long-standing commitment to supporting continuous innovation and sustainability while driving industry progress and economic growth. In line with this, the company has also pledged its technologies to the success of the Philippine Construction Industry Roadmap 2020-2030. The roadmap is a project prepared by Department of Trade and Industry, and the Construction Industry Authority of the Philippines.
“Mitsubishi Electric and IEE have much to offer the country, as we always look for Changes for the Better, and always maintain high quality and environmental consciousness in all our products,” said IEE executive vice president Itsuo Arakawa.
Since 1969, IEE has handled the design, sales, installation, and maintenance of Mitsubishi Electric elevators and escalators in the Philippines, and expanded into the air conditioning market in 1978. IEE continues to work hard in bringing the brand of technological innovation and excellent engineering services that customers have grown to trust throughout the years.
